  My wife and I camped for a week at nearby Lake Charles St. Park and looked for a good place to eat in nearby Walnut Ridge. Moni's Grill became our go-to place after trying a few other local eateries that were really sub par ... to be fair, the local buffet and steakhouse may have had off nights when we dined at them.
  
  Moni's serves traditional diner fare and they do a great job of it. Our service was always fast and friendly, we ate there 4 times during the week. Only open for breakfast and lunch, they close at 2:00 pm, with occasional Friday evening service [great ribs the one Friday we ate there]. A full breakfast only costs $4.99 so I don't know how the first reviewer spent $25 for two?
  
  The building is old and the decor is nothing fancy. Tables and restrooms were clean. Free Wi-Fi was a big plus. Many locals obviously enjoy the daily lunch specials with a choice of meats and many sides. Friendly diner atmosphere.
  Lake Charles SP is a gem and when we return, we will be sure to eat at Moni's for the quality of the food, low cost and friendly service. Two thumbs/forks up!!
